Location

 

The Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse and Museum is located on the shores of Lake Huron within the grounds of Lighthouse Park. The Keeper's museum provides a wonderful trip into the history of the Lighthouse, Life Saving Station, and Huron County. The Lighthouse and Museum are open from Memorial weekend until October 15th. The Museum hours are 10:00AM to 6:00PM seven days a week.

There is no admission charge, but donations are appreciated.

 

FROM THE SOUTH

From Port Huron take M-25 north along the Lakeshore. Pass through Lexington, Port Sanilac, Harbor Beach and Port Hope. Six miles North of Port Hope turn right onto Lighthouse Raod. Travel 1/2 mile on Lighthouse Road and you will see the entrance to Lighthouse Park on your right. Turn into the Park and 300 yards into Lighthouse Park you will see Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse.
Travel time is aprox: 1 hour, 30 minutes

FROM THE NORTH

From Caseville take M-25 around the top of the Thumb. At the stoplight in Port Austin turn right, pass thru town and turn left onto M-25 south. Travel 12 miles south and 1 mile past Huron City Lighthouse Road will be on your left. Turn left toward the Lakeshore and travel aprox. 1/2 mile to the entrance of Lighthouse Park. Turn right at  the Park sign,  travel 300 yards and  you will see the Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse. 
Travel time from Caseville is aprox: 45 minutes to 1 hour.  

FROM M-69 AND IMLAY CITY

Take M-53 north thru Imlay City, cross M-46 and continue into Bad Axe. At the stop light turn left to remain of M-53 north. Travel 12 miles to Kinde Road. Turn right onto Kinde road and travel 17 miles to M-25 (Kinde road - East ends at M-25) Turn left or onto M-25, travel 6 miles north tp Lighthouse road on the right. Turn right onto Lighthouse road, travel 1/2 mile to the entrance of Lighthouse Park. Travel 300 yards to the Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse
